Why it matters: This role will be responsible for Axios’ product narrative and will collaborate with colleagues across the company to build new products, launch strategy and maintain our positioning in the market.

  • Lead the crafting of a clear narrative framework that will resonate with our clients and ensure the alignment of all of our product offerings and their position in the marketplace.
  • Lead collateral development ensuring all materials align with brand voice and identity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with your colleagues in Integrated Marketing, Product & Tech, Insights, Client Services and Communications to ensure brand consistency across touchpoints.
  • Proactively identify needs for ongoing product marketing initiatives for new and current products, working with cross-functional partners to meet key product adoption goals and improve product market fit.
  • Design and execute the process to proactively incorporate market feedback on product marketing collateral and positioning, often collaborating with Client Partnerships to do so, to continuously improve both advocacy for and adoption of products.
  • Stay on top of industry trends in order to stay ahead of the changing media landscape. This will include keeping a pulse on where and how our competitors are growing, where the market is focused and where the industry is headed.
The details: Ideal candidates will be endlessly curious. They’ll embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills:
  • 8+ years of product marketing or strategy experience in the media and publishing industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the media landscape
  • Ability to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of and perspective on new concepts and products inclusive of both high-level strategy and tactical go-to-market details
  • Experience tapping into market trends and insights to inform your work
  • Exceptionally collaborative with experience working across teams to produce quality work
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Starting salary for this role is in the range of 135,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
Note that the total compensation offered for this role includes a sales incentive component, which is contingent upon the successful achievement of predetermined sales targets.
