Job Purpose
Reporting to the Manager, HR Systems, the Human Resources Systems Analyst will maintain and enhance the HR department’s systems and processes while supporting the implementation of new technologies, integrations, and systems. This role is a critical part of a code-based HR technology environment, focusing on department process automation, optimization of our HR data and analytics landscape, and continual improvement of the end-user experience. The role will be part of a lean team dedicated to driving efficiency within the HR department to support the business. The position will build and maintain cloud-based automations, integrations, data pipelines, and BI application reports, and will work directly in our HR systems to build complex reports and process transactions. The HR Systems Analyst will assist employees and managers with onboarding, interface directly with employees throughout the company to solve their issues related to using HR systems, and communicate with the manager and the team directly and concisely. This role will work inside and outside HR systems, using in-system tools and writing scripts in coding languages to implement the simplest and most scalable solution for each business challenge.
Responsibilities
  • Build flexible automations using coding languages, including Python.
  • Build data pipelines, robust system integrations, and dynamic business intelligence reports.
  • Create department processes, collaborating with relevant stakeholders, and enhance existing HR processes and systems.
  • Maintain technical documentation and solutions.
  • Ensure that HR data is accurate and that HR data and system features are secure.
  • Process transactions in HR systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for solving complex issues across multiple systems, working directly with employees and HR team members.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to gather requirements and solidify solutions.
  • Gather, synthesize, and interpret data to address business needs.
  • Provide regular updates on progress and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately.
  • Accept additional responsibilities assigned.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of technology infrastructure experience OR 3+ years of experience working directly with technology applications in business operations
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • A strong understanding of and experience in building code-based cloud automations, system integrations, end-to-end data pipelines, reports using data visualization tools, and other solutions using coding/expression languages, including Python.
  • A strong understanding of and experience using APIs, Power Platform applications, and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in a Microsoft 365 business environment
  • Experience solving root causes of complex technical issues
  • Understanding of basic application lifecycle management principles
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and to complete objectives ahead of deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of technology infrastructure experience OR 5+ years of experience working directly with technology applications in business operations
  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise human capital management systems
  • 3+ years working at a company with 500 to 2000 employees
  • Knowledge of federal and state U.S. compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of common policies and procedures across human resources functions

The expected base salary range for this position is 74,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
