The Role
As the Manager, Supplier Quality, you will drive high-quality standards with our supplier partners as we expand our product portfolio. This role ensures our suppliers and vendors comply with relevant cGMP's, regulations, and company procedures and policies. The role creates and manages agile and risk-based processes and inspection programs that can effectively support a diverse supply-chain. The Manager, Supplier Quality builds relationships with our vendors, suppliers, and co-manufacturers and collaborates on mitigation to deliver quality improvements that provide value to our consumers.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Decrease deviations, product failures and recalls due to supplier issues
- Lower cost by identifying opportunities for supplier continuous improvement
- Create a robust co-manufacturing network capable of supporting product needs
Essential functions:
- Evaluate, audit, and approve suppliers and co-manufacturers
- Define GTI quality standards and Quality Agreements for co-manufacturer contracts
- Supervise manufacturing and release co-manufactured product
- Lead investigations related to co-manufacturing
- Keep records of all suppliers within eQMS system
- Assist with configuration of ERP system for incoming materials process
- Regularly travel (up to 25%) to sites across GTI network to audit and help improve material receipt
- Issue, track, and approve all Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs)
- Develop and report out on supplier quality KPIs
- Partner with suppliers on SCAR investigations
- Work with Procurement to develop, deploy, and maintain vendor scorecard program
- Maintain supplier quality SOPs in eQMS system
- Help with supplier selection and identify possible supplier risks during new product planning
Safety & Compliance:
- Be aware of hazards in the workspace.
- Retain and understand department specific training.
- Report safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actions.
- Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirements.
- Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements.
- Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisor.
- Report and escalate safety & quality concerns.
Working Conditions
- Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- 5+ years’ experience with a proven track record of building and developing Supplier Quality processes and systems
- Experience with auditing is required
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of consumer product industry testing and inspection standards
- Strong knowledge of product-specific standards, materials, and manufacturing processes/techniques
- High level of accountability and technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet with suppliers
- Must have the knowledge and skills required to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
- Knowledge of the GMP and food safety programs
- Track record of engaging teams and creating a collaborative culture
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft® Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word)
- Understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is desired

- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
