We're looking for an SEO Analyst who will join one of our largest acquisition channels. You'll have a meaningful impact on our growth as a company. You'll assist in our strategy to capture and grow acquisitions through SEO, working with our product, marketing and data science teams to prioritize, then build on these opportunities and report on the SEO work and health of the channel. You'll report to our SEO Manager, Growth Marketing.

What you'll do

  • Ensure SEO remains a critical and growing contributor to overall sales through task execution, competitive research, and ongoing maintenance
  • Use a variety of SEO tools (SEMRush, AHrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, among others) to both report on SEO health and identify new opportunities
  • Clearly and concisely dimensionalize SEO health and performance for channel owner and broad non-SEO audiences
  • Find new strategies to acquire legitimate, editorial links to SeatGeek and perform keyword research to identify new keywords to target
  • Become key stakeholder with external teams and partners e.g. agencies and intelligence platforms to help with established strategic agenda
  • Partner closely with dedicated internal stakeholders in Product/Engineering to ensure foundational SEO setup and experiment with various landing pages to capture incremental acquisitions from high-volume search
  • Work closely with SEM to ensure we're taking a single-view approach to search engine acquisitions and market share

What you have

  • 2-4 years of in-house or agency SEO work experience
  • Existing knowledge of basic web development (HTML + JavaScript) is preferred. Anything you can point to that shows hands-on experience is great.
  • SEO tools: familiarity with any of Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Google Search Console and Ahrefs is preferred
  • Data savviness: You enjoy working with data and are comfortable with math. You are very comfortable with Excel and interested in getting better. VLookups, Pivot Tables, If Statements, etc. will become part of your daily work.
  • Standard SEO capabilities that include:
    • Creating new meta data (title tags, descriptions, H1 tags), as needed
    • Managing CMS (SG Admin, Contentful) to make updates, as needed
    • Keeping up to date with Google's announcements (algorithm, features, etc.)
  • Content SEO capabilities that include:
    • Conducting Content Audit (on-page improvements for website)
    • Conducting Content Gap Analysis (shortcomings of other websites)
    • Conducting Keyword Research (identify keyword ranking targets)
    • Identifying new content/backlink opportunities from search landscape
  • Technical SEO capabilities that include:
    • Conducting Technical Audit (backend enhancements for website)
    • Writing new backend HTML code (JSON-LD, HREFLang), as needed
    • Creating new JIRA tickets with Acceptance Criteria
    • Conducting User Acceptance Testing and/or Quality Assurance
    • Identifying technical SEO improvements from search landscape
  • Analytics capabilities that include:
    • Creating & presenting reporting of SEO performance (content, technical, etc)
    • Providing new recommendations based on reporting

The salary range for this role is 85,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
