As the Account Manager for the Ad Network, you will be a key factor in the growth and success of the Ad Network. We’re building a best-in-class advertising experience for our advertisers and publishers, and this role is critical in bringing that to life. You will be responsible for managing all campaigns sold by the sales team, ensuring delivery, reporting, and communications with both sides are done smoothly. You’ll implement new processes and influence ongoing product development to bring the inner workings of the ad network to the next level. Through quarterly business reviews with our advertisers, analysis of ongoing campaigns and strategy guidance, you’ll build strong, long-lasting relationships with beehiiv customers.
This role requires a deep understanding of advertising, the newsletter / publishing industry and the creator economy. Strong relationship management and organization skills are necessary. The ideal candidate is hands-on and results-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ideally you will have:
  • 2+ years of working in a similar advertising account management role
  • Excellent communication, listening, and writing skills
  • Prior experience in the newsletter / media / publishing industry
  • Strong organization skills: able to work independently with little direction when necessary
  • Genuine excitement about scaling a nascent platform
  • An ownership mentality

What you will be responsible for:

  • All post-sale execution of Ad Network campaigns including campaign creation, delivery, reporting, and communication with advertisers
  • Deeply understand the goals and KPIs for advertisers and work closely with them to communicate ongoing campaign metrics and performance
  • Partner with the advertiser and publishers to optimize campaign performance and ensure we hit targets
  • Organize and lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with our largest partners
  • Cultivate strong relationships with beehiiv publishers to drive engagement in the Ad Network
  • Handle all performance reporting for ongoing campaigns
  • Work with the sales team to drive renewals and repeat businesses
  • Create new processes to handle an ever-growing amount of campaigns
