In this role, you'll be at the heart of Liftoff's Attribution & Applications team, handling vital attribution data that reinforces our machine learning endeavors and shapes our robust reporting frameworks. You'll play a pivotal role in tailoring our attribution systems to adapt seamlessly to the latest privacy standards in the industry, while also crafting and refining applications that bolster our traffic quality and campaign management efforts. This is a chance to leverage your skills in a collaborative environment where your contributions directly influence the performance and integrity of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Build and have end-to-end ownership of Liftoff's attribution systems, including data processing pipelines, and high-performance services.
- Build a deep understanding of data that Liftoff collects to influence ML and data-driven applications.
- Partner with the product team to plan short and long term strategy
- Contribute to an “engineering excellence” culture through state-of-the-art tools, risk-driven testing, explainable systems, and code review.
- Leverage your expertise in Go, SQL, or other technologies to empower and mentor the engineering team - maximizing team velocity.
- Join a nimble, consistently excellent, and experienced engineering team.
Requirements:
- Very strong coding ability.
- Solid core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecting systems).
- A high bar for quality and perfection, and the ability to temper it when necessary to ship.
- Sets ego aside in pursuit of finding the best solution, no matter where it comes from.
- Self-motivated and ability to get things done.
- Excited to work on large scale distributed systems.
- Excited to build and hone data-science skills.
- B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent) & 5+ years software engineering experience or M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent) & 3+ years software engineering experience.

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role:
SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: 195,000
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: 180,000
All other cities and towns in our approved states: 170,000

Liftoff's compensation strategy includes competitive market rate along with equity and benefits and perks that will give our employees what they need to do their best work. In order to ensure teams are compensated fairly for the work performed, we map out specific levels and take into consideration the cost of labor within each location. Liftoff provides employees a total compensation package of competitive market salaries, equity, health and wellness stipends, medical benefits associated with your country of residence. The base compensation will vary based on location, experience as well as level.
