Who You Are:

As an Internal Communications Manager, you will be pivotal in developing and executing internal communication strategies, ensuring clear and consistent messaging throughout the company. This role will require close collaboration with various teams to enhance employee engagement, streamline communication processes, and maintain a robust knowledge management system.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Execution of Communication Strategies and Cadence: Develop, implement & manage comprehensive internal communications plans that align with company goals. Establish a regular communication cadence to ensure timely updates and information flow.
  • Content Creation and Management: Produce and manage content for newsletters, announcements, intranet posts, and other internal communication channels.
  • Knowledge Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the internal knowledge management system, ensuring information is organized and easily accessible.
  • Internal Communication System and App Development: Play a key role in the development and implementation of a bespoke internal communication system and app, enhancing connectivity and engagement across the organization.
  • Standardization of Tools Usage: Establish and enforce standardized practices for the use of Google Drive, Slack, and other communication tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Employee Engagement: Initiate and manage programs to boost employee involvement and satisfaction.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Implement and analyze feedback channels to continuously refine communication strategies.
  • Crisis Communication: Handle internal communication during crises, ensuring clarity and swift information dissemination.
  • Event Coordination: Aid in organizing and communicating company events and meetings.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in internal communications, ideally in a startup environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, and internal communication tools.
The salary range for this role is 50/hr. USD dependent on location and experience.
